The Academic Year Abroad program invites students from all accredited U.S. universities to study at the Leopold-Franzens University of Innsbruck, Austria. Students can go to Austria for a semester or a year. Academic credit is fully transferable through UNO. The program is soundly based on a 20+ year partnership between the University of Innsbruck and the University of New Orleans. The program is administered by Center Austria at UNO, and our Resident Director, Dr. Margaret Davidson, is on site in Innsbruck to assist students. The program is affordable and financial aid is available. German proficiency is not required; we offer hand-tailored curricula for students with or without German proficiency. For years students have been taking advantage of this unique opportunity to enrich their academic and personal experience.
