Important Dates and Information for Spring 2017 Students

  • Note: most of the official UNO dates and more can be found here:
  • Note: as we have more information, dates will be added
  • Last day to pay university fees (4:30 PM): Wednesday, January 11, 2017
  • Spring 2017 arrival date: no later than Thursday, January 12, 2017
  • Late registration begins with $150 fee; Schedule adjustment period without fee penalty: Thursday, January 12, 2017
  • Mandatory Orientation: Friday, January 13, 2017 (subject to change)
  • Last day of schedule adjustment period without fee penalty: Monday, January 16, 2017
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday (university closed): Monday, January 16, 2017
  • Regular classes start; Schedule adjustment period (with $50 fee penalty) starts: Tuesday, January 17, 2017
  • Saturday classes start: January 21, 2017
  • Last day of schedule adjustment period with fee penalty: Monday, January 23, 2017
  • Mardi Gras holidays (no classes): February 27-28, 2017
  • Mardi Gras Day (university closed): February 28, 2017
  • Mid-semester exams: March 6-10, 2017
  • Spring Break (no classes): Wednesday-Saturday, April 12-15, 2017
  • Easter Day: Sunday, April 16, 2017
  • Last day of Saturday classes: April 29, 2017
  • Last day of regular classes: Friday, May 5, 2017
  • Final examinations begin: May 8-12, 2017 (Final Exam Scheudule)

Getting Ready to Go back to your home country

  • Before you book your flight home, know your final exam schedule (see above). Once you know your class schedule, you can look up your final exam schedule (even now)!
  • And don't forget to fill out our evaluation form. We'll send you an email when it is time.
  • Make sure the ISEP office knows your return plans. And if you need help in getting to the airport or wrapping things up, let us know and we'll help if we can.
  • Remember to check immigration rules if you plan to travel during your 30-day grace period.
  • Be sure to check with your institution's international office to confirm that your transcript was received and properly documented.

After You're Home Again

  • Once you're home, keep checking to make sure your official transcript ARRIVED at your home institution.
  • Keep in touch! Skype, Facebook, and email make communication easy. Send us pictures!
  • Tell your friends at your home University about UNO!
