Go to France via UNO's Exchange Program with Aix en Provence
The Universities, which are located in the South East of France between the mountains and the sea, in both Aix-en-Provence and Marseilles, see themselves primarily as warm, welcoming institutions, careful to remain loyal to their Mediterranean heritage. The age-old academic tradition of the region, cherished by the Greeks and Romans, continues to perpetuate, grow richer and open up to new, diverse disciplines such as Social and Pure Sciences, Humanities, Health Studies and New Technologies, which together make Aix-Marseilles a world-renowned centre of learning.
The institutions offer both core and vocation-based teaching at graduate and post graduate level, research laboratories, engineering schools and medical centres, thanks primarily to their dynamic nature and their involvement in commercial and industrial exchange programmes on a regional level. The ambition of the Universities of Aix-Marseilles is to spread their principles of prestige and performance, together with the multidisciplinary nature of their courses, beyond their own national borders.

The three Universities of Aix-Marseilles are the legitimate successors to the original prestigious establishments created there in the 19th century ; they welcome over 70,000 students every year (10% of which are foreign students). This figure covers all subject areas. Within these subject areas there are multiple centres of excellence: Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Provence (U1) ; Health, Sport and Economics at the University of the Mediterranean (U2) ; Law, Political Sciences, Applied Economics and Business Management at the University Paul Cézanne (U3). The Exact Sciences, notably Mathematics, Physics, Astrophysics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Environmental Studies and Engineering, are spread throughout the three Universities.
The three Universities have a common policy concerning educational diversification and also the implementation of joint research projects, language learning, information technology and methods of communication.
